Corrupt files issues with vista help plz!

hello,
right now my problem is im constantly being told that i have curropt files it starts when i start windows continues in windows and even when i shut down. ive tried to run chkdsk but it wont run at all. right now im doing rfc /checknow but it stops at 25% any help would be fantastic!

Hello Zach, and welcome to Vista Forums.

You might see if doing a System Restore at boot using a restore point dated before you had this corruption may be able to fix it for you.

i thought about doing that however im reluctant to do that because i dont wanna have to do that on my new laptop. its only 2 weeks old

Well, you could also do a factory restore to wipe it all out and start fresh again like it was the day you first got your computer.

ok so i tried the system restore however it can run it because i have corrupt files. it tells me to run chkdsk which i cant

In that case, you should backup anything that you do not want to lose, and may need to do a factory restore.
