Confused Ethernet Ports

There are no options to delete the network as Vista only lists connections. Here's what I tried, I bridged the Limited Connectivity on board Ethernet with the USB Primary Connection, and for some reason, I have full connectivity across the bridge. I will try to find out why the Network List Manager refuses to list the pseudo network. Clearly, this is a software glitch, and it occurrs on start up of a corrupted system DLL.

Now that your connected type in cmd: netsh lan show interface or ipconfig /all to see if it lists the pseudo interface.

And the Bridged connection is a 1 Gbps connection, as reported by both the details of the connection and per Task Manager Networking.

Its exactly what it states. I dont think its set to auto run by default. But its a service that allows network information to be pulled from the system. It's not effecting your connection.

But since your connected through a bridge, into a different connection with a different adapter, it could still be the ethernet port of the main board...

What authentication are you using? MAC, or POP3?

Problem Resolved. Here's what I had to do. It is a software based issue and it directly related to how Vista connects to your Ethernet card.

(1) I unpluged my computer completely, including the power cord.
(2) I changed my switch from a DLink Gigabit to a 5 Port [w/uplink] Linksys. When I changed switches, I lost all connections, even my USB. All connections were local only and the network was "unidentified"
(3) Using ipconfig /release and ipconfig/renew only caused errors, so I disabled all the ports in the NSC, and then enabled the onboard ethernet card. Connection re-established.
(4) Microsoft must supply all users of Vista with an ability to completely clear the network management cache and the registry of fixed network settings.

Normally, when you change locations, DHCP automatically re-assigns you a new IP and you can continue as usual. But, Vista has such a "strange" security layer that it handles all network connections as being on a private [literally private VPN] network. When my computer was shut down, Vista's security took over and changed all my settings so that my PC looked for a VPN, but none existed. So when I forced it to re-connect to a totally different network, all those old settings had to be replaced.
Here's the new ipconfig /all:

Glad you got it running :) Always something simple, but I was asking what authentication you were using because if it was POP3 then I would suggest the email and/or password you were using to access the internet is incorrect. But obviously you got it. Bookmarking this for reference :)
