Computer crashed. Can I retrieve my old windows mail emails??

Hi,

My computer crashed and I took it to be fixed. He was able to retrieve my old files which was good, but I am wanting to know how I can retieve my old emails. I can see they are in the folder he created but each time I go to open them they come up with the new Windows mail I created when I reinstalled Vista Home Premiuim.

I hope someone can help me please.

The only solution I can see would to be to install the program you used before, and manually open the e-mails with it.

It should be relitivly easy to do, Configure Windows mail to your POP/SMTP acount with whatever service your useing then sync it all to windows mail.
