I will be moving to an X38 chipset and a 45nm quad core soon from my E6600 and P965 chipset. Will I need to re-install Vista Ultimate x64?
Changing motherboard and processor in VISTA....

Before you reinstall create a drivers disk with all the new hardware drivers. This will save you time when you do the reinstall.
Also download and burn SP1 onto disk.
After you have installed Vista, the drivers and SP1 do a compleate backup.
Then put this DVD away as it can act as a factory restore.
I always tell people to do this as it can save alot of hasstle later.
Shame I dont listen to my own advice.
