I have a Toshiba P205-S6347 running Viste Home Premium 32 bit. The problem seems to be my video card which is built in, Mobile Intel 965 Express chipset Family. I am running version 7.14.10.1329. I read that SP1 will not update if the driver version is between 7.14.10.1322 and 7.14.10.1403. Tried to download the drivers from Intels webside they were not compatable. I called Toshiba support, they told me the driver I have is the moste recent driver and that I would not be able to upgrade to SP1.
Basically, what you have is it!!!!!!!!!!
I was wondering if anyone with a Toshiba notebook having this chipset found a work around or a driver that works?
You could try demanding a refund from Toshiba for designing a laptop that will not let you get SP1, or
You could try uninstalling the current video driver, using the very crappy default VGA driver (DO not reboot) and then let SP1 install. After that, the video driver should be automatically found again when you reboot....

I appreciate your help. Actually I used an older driver and SP1 came up when I went to Windows Update. Apparently the last update provided to Toshiba from Intel had an issue.
As far as the Toshiba support techs are concerned, if it's not in the script they can't help you. Good thing this forum exists. By the way SP1 installed with no problems. I was pleasantly surprised.

That's ok, if Toshiba's support was on the ball I wouldn't have had to posted this. The sad part is, the tech that couldn't help me got paid, all I can offer you is a big thank you for good advise. You probably should go to work for Toshiba. I certainly would provide a reference.
