Cannot find network drive

Greetings!

I have a inoi hd363n. It's a HDD in an enclosure that connects using the ethernet network. My Vista machine here has a default of WORKGROUP as does the NAS drive. I can ping the NAS drive by both IP and name. But it doesn't show in my network at all! I turned on file sharing and network discovery and still nothing.

There has to be something I'm missing!

I'll give anything a try .. new to Vista.

Never mind ... seconds after I posted this I saw the network settings where private .. i changed them to public and re-enabled file sharing and network discovery and voi'la! It's there!
