Microsoft Online Crash Analysis
I have seen this problem many times but I didn't think any of the solutions provided would fix my problem. First of all, I just reinstalled windows yesterday using the Recovery Partition-(Factory_Image (D)-which was successful. The problem occurred directly after the re-installation upon start-up. Also, the BSOD will pop up at very random times, i.e when the computer starts up, when installing a program on the desktop, leaving the computer idle. It seems to me that it's a problem that only happens when something fails and that something likes to fail at random moments in time. I would like the best possible information about what course of action I should take to fix this.
Vista Home Premium 32 bit. (Compaq)
Vista was the first and only OS ever installed.
I believe it was an OEM because of the Recovery Partition and the lack of an installation disk.
The computer was bought December 20th 2007. The actual age is most likely 24th August 2007 (Time was repeatedly resetting to the same time prior to the re-installation to windows, thus I am assuming that's the manufacture date.)
The current Vista OS is a single day old, yesterday was the first re-installation of Windows Vista.
Again the problem occurred directly after the re-installation of windows, the very first start-up. (Crashed before even coming upon the log-in screen.)
I appreciate any help in advance, also try to "dumb" the process of doing this down a little because I don't know that much about debugging or any other things of that nature with computers. If you give me explicit instructions I will be able to use them, however. Thanks, Austin.
