BSOD on boot

Load bar appears but after that I always BSOD, I get several stop error codes such as BAD_POOL_CALLER, IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL and PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA as well as others, I'm going to try to run safemode and copy over the dmp files to my removable hd, can someone take a look?

My Computer

still no fix but i think its caused by C:\Windows\System32\ntkrnlpa.exe since that always appeared in my dmp files when i used bluescreenview, anyway to fix?

One of the dump files blames hcw85bda.sys - a component of your Hauppage WinTV drivers.
Another dump file blames neo_0069.sys - a component of your Neo_VPN Client Device Driver

First:
Please update or remove these older drivers that were loaded at the time of the crash. Don't use Windows Update or the Update drivers function of Device Manager. Please use the following instructions to locate the most current drivers:
How To Find Updated Drivers:
- search Google for the name of the driver
- compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
- visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware/program to get the latest drivers (DON'T use Windows Update or the Update driver function of Device Manager).
- if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone will try and help you locate the appropriate program.

Here's the older drivers:
Code:
PPJoyBus.sys Mon Aug 16 15:21:11[U][B] 2004[/B][/U]
PPortJoy.sys Sun Oct 24 02:11:00 [U][B]2004[/B][/U]
aebcl6mz.SYS Wed Apr 11 13:59:50 2007
HCW85BDA.sys Mon Oct 01 09:21:06 2007
HDAudBus.sys Tue Nov 27 18:18:41 2007
Neo_0069.sys Mon Oct 08 11:55:33 2007
nvmfdx32.sys Mon Sep 10 22:10:00 2007
nvstor32.sys Fri Oct 26 14:50:16 2007
teamviewervpn.sys Thu Nov 29 03:27:19 2007

Next step - update all of the remaining drivers
Next step - install Service Pack 2 from Windows Update

That's weird... did it BSOD when you restarted AFTER installing the NVIDIA drivers or while you were installing the NVIDIA drivers. I doubt it has anything to do with the display. Use BlueScreenView again and attach whatever it says (a log if possible)

well, i didnt really get a blue screen, it just went black screen during install and rebooted, BUT!...

after reopening the exe and changing the install path from NVIDIA to NVIDIASUCKS... it ran and installed, so i restarted, now im trying to see if it works :D

My Computer

alright, still getting x7E, checking to see if i get any other stop errors, the booting up safemode again

edit: got another bad_pool_caller, so checking other drivers

My Computer

I don't see why NVIDIA sucks, but that's beside the point. What does NVIDIA have anything to do with the BSOD?

It seems like a Microsoft Kernel Mode error. Some people have had this problem. Do you have any external devices attached (memory cards, PCI cards, PCMCIA cards, ExpressCards, external hard drives, etc.)?

only external hdd, but thats not plugged in

i just realized something... windows update doesnt work in safe mode............

ndis.sys keeps showing up in my stop error codes, unsure where to update that...

ALSO, WINDOWS UPDATE WILL NOT WORK IN SAFEMODE, and i can only run safemode...

My Computer

OK, I'm stumped.

EDIT:
No wait... I'm not! NDIS.SYS is a critical file used by your network card. Something is wrong with it.

When booting safe mode, boot safe mode with command prompt. When it loads, type:
sfc /scannow

Hopefully it helps.

My Computer

That seems to happen a lot. Restart and try booting normal mode. GOOD LUCK!

Ah shoot. NOW, it seems like your RAM is screwed up.

Did you by chance change any RAM settings? Check if the RAM is seated properly.
It can get unseated.

For example, once, my old XP computer was frozen and I have 20 minutes to finish an important presentation. I kicked it so hard the computer shut up. When it would turn on, I opened it and found 2 sticks of RAM floating around in the bundle of wires, about 4 inches from where it should be. I reseated it and my computer turned on immediately.

LOL, sometimes in life you need the clean up the crap.

Good luck!!!! REMEMBER DON'T MESS WITH ANYTHING ELSE. PUSH RAM STICKS DOWN SO THAT THEY CLICK (NOT TOO HARD MATE)
