Ok, ok. I had trouble coming up with a title.
I have an Acer L5100 Acer Support - Aspire L5100 Specifications .
I am a noob, but a fast learner and follow directions well.
Problem: When turning on the machine I get the following error when trying to boot up. "For Realtek RTL811B/811C Gigabit Ethernet Controller v2.06 (070425) PXE-E61: Media test failure, check cable PXE:M0F: Exiting PXE-ROM. "
My OEMAct is Windows Vista Home Premium.
I cannot get into windows, I cannot get into safe mode. I do not have recovery discs, but am attempting to order them if Acer will return my email asking how to do so. I have reset bios to factory settings. This happened after my tower was knocked off my desk, I won't say how lol. I have checked all connections inside and out and nothing is loose or seated improperly to my knowledge.
Any other suggestions before dropping a load of cash out for repair ?? Thanks kindly, any help appreciated!
