I'm not sure if I can do that... I'm using a laptop and the box it came in, along with all the provided CDs had been thrown out without my permission a long time ago.

This is from our tutorials. See if this can help. Try to make an image of your HD first, just in case of problems. If you cannot do that, at least make a system restore point.

I'm not entirely sure if this will help as I don't have any problems opening the programs or finding the application to open it with. I'll record a brief video and upload it to youtube and we'll see if it explains any better.

Im bothered by the fact that System Restore did not work. I have not found one situation where it did not work, when the problem could be resolved with changes to the OS.

I read the whole thread over again. In the first post, where you show the screen shot, do you check the box always open with this program?

Did you try to uninstall one program with REVO and then reinstall again? To see if it works

The selection box is grayd out and can't be clicked. As a new discovery, everything will open properly if I right click and press "Run as Administrator" regardless of my never having to do this before. Video is uploading now.

I have the hope that we do not need the video. You mentioned about the administrator, try this. This is easy and should work.

Always Start an Application in Administrator Mode on Windows 7 or Vista - the How-To Geek

You just told me that if you run as administrator it works. The above link will tell you how to set that permanently.

Aha! It is infact working! Major bummer that I'll need to set it for every program I have but none the less, an uncountable time saver in the long run. Thanks a million for your patience, you've been a terrific help.

Just change the programs as you use them, dont try to do all at once.
