Solved boot failure error

Hi bigcroc,

Try to connect the Hard Drive to different SATA/IDE port and check if it boots.

If issue persists, try with a different SATA/IDE cable and check. Also, perform BIOS defaults and ensure that the Hard Drive is getting detected in the computer.

Please post the results.

Hi i tired to conect to a different ports. ok no luck with using bios default still the same error ,new cable has made no difference..my iso is nearly finished,how do i transfer it from my download page to ultraiso please

Before trying with a different cable, ensure that the Hard Drive is detected in the BIOS and perform BIOS defaults and check.

I just noticed this when i tried again at the top of the prepost page it says
prime slave none
sec master none
sec slave none.
does this me my pc is not recognising my hard drive.
You thoughts please .

Hi bigcroc,

That is correct; the computer is unable to detect the Hard Drive. Please reseat the hard and check if it works.

Also, connect the same Hard Drive to a different computer (if available) and check if it is getting detected.

Please post the results.

now i cant even get to the bios page ,well i got there once then the whole lot froze ,i have a spare mobo the same should i swap everything over and see if thats the problem .maybe ill wait and see if the iso can reapair everything .

so if i conect the faulty drive to another pc will i see it in the my computer page

Hi bigcroc,

If the Hard Drive is not faulty, then it should show in the computer page.

Also, connect a different Hard Drive to different ports on the Motherboard, to ensure that the ports are not faulty on this computer.

YEYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYyou wouldnt believe it i looked at the way the hard drive conects to the sata cable and it felt a bit lose i was able to prise the lock up and the conection felt more firm ,i rebooted and walahhhhhh back to my vista home page I want to thanks everyone that tried to help with my what to me was a major delema.But infact was so simple .Special thanks to you madhur B FOR YOUR TIME AND PATIENCE i will still download the iso now im over halfway through the download.what are the steps please how do i copy the 3 isos to my usb for use if need be later.

If the computer is booting properly, then you would not require creating the Bootable USB flash drive.
