Visit the Acer website and download all the Empowering Technology stuff
Then uninstall the Empowering Technology stuff that's currently on your system
Then install the freshly downloaded stuff.

When you get to the download page you will see "Driver" highlighted, to the left of that you will see "Application", click on that and you will see a list of downloads. Empowering Technology is in there.

Acer Support - Download Drivers

If it was me, i would un-install the Empowering software on the PC, try it and see if all is well, if it is, and you use it, re-install the software.

Hi Stoney...thanks for all your help. I m sorry I suck with computers, but I still need to double check. How do I completely uninstall empowering? I dont have control panel on safe mode, is there another way? thanks

My Computer

By the time you finish with this you will be able to get a job as an IT consultant. :geek:

Download CCleaner from this link and install.

CCleaner - Download

Run the app, go to Tools, there you should see all your installed software.
You should have control panel in safe mode, try the above and i will see if i can get more info on the control panel.

I'm not too familiar with this particular piece of software, i wondered if it would show up in Device Manager, (it may have a driver), if it does, you can disable it from there.

I agree with stoneys-nutz. Get rid of the "Empowering Technology".
If it works fine and you don't miss it - don't bother reinstalling it.

BTW - once it's uninstalled, search the system for int15_64.sys (to make sure that it's really gone). If not, post back and we'll try some other stuff to keep it from loading.

Hello Stoney and usasma,

I got home and, stoney, I got the ccfcleaner and uninstalled empowering like you and usasma told me and guess what...it works !!!!!!!! yeah !!!!! well...at least the first time I restarted it it works.

I dont know how to thank you guys, for the pure genius you guys added, and also for sticking with me on this thread for 4 days. if it wasn't for you guys, I could have gone to geek squad or something and waste a lot of money getting this fixed. I have to mention stoney for being the first to help me out and sticking with me. Also usasma, thanks for the great ideas and suggesting about empower. Being computer wiz is one thing, but being a good person is another. I am befriend you guys somehow...dont know how yet, but will eventually. I would love to stay in contact. Thank you so much.
