Blue Screen of Death

I followed these steps and Kaspersky still running with no change. Do I have to uninstall it in add/remove first then follow the steps bellow?

STEP ONE:

Make sure you have a copy of your Kaspersky Product Key, just in case.

STEP TWO:

Please download, and run this tool in SAFE MODE (with Networking is also fine) Removal tool for Kaspersky Lab products

STEP THREE:

Once everything has been removed, there is still one component that is accidentally missed by this removal program, needs manual removal, or more easily, can be dealt with by HiJackThis. Please boot back into Normal mode, re-open HiJackThis, put a check next to the following item (if it still exists) and click Fix Checked:

O20 - AppInit_DLLs: C:\PROGRA~1\KASPER~1\KASPER~1\mzvkbd3.dll,C:\PROGRA~1\KASPER~1\KASPER~1\kloehk.dll

I get the blue screen also. It is probably something wrong with the computer.

Hello,

You shouldn't have to run Add/Remove programs first, but it would cause no harm, and may help in this case.

This should not have happened. The only step to have failed and caused this, is step 2, the removal tool. Did it get run, and one more crucial thing, this program often appears to hang? You must leave it to hang, and recover, as it will do so, it is constantly active, and will do so in a timely fashion.

Just one more thing, did you have to select which program to uninstall from the entire list, or was your version the only available version on the list.

In conclusion, please try it again, making sure you select the correct version, not ending the task, or clicking on "Close this Program" if it hangs, always click "Wait for this program to respond" and if it still remains, even after you click start and all that, use Add/Remove programs, followed by this tool again.

Sorry that this is causing so many problems. Thanks for those other logs, we are clean now, and we will update you after your BSoD is solved. Thanks for the +rep, but I bet you wish you hadn't included that HiJackThis log for me to faff around with Toolbars, while you computer dies of Unrecoverable System Failures!

You are very kind!

Richard

When I ran the removal tool it only appear my program and it didn't hang. In less than a second it gave me the message that everything was removed. I tried it again, the same thing happened. I did uninstall KIS with add/remove then I ran the removal tool and I got the drop down menu in which I selected KIS 2010. Now everything is going great. I haven't had the BSoD for 2 days now but I want to make sure I don't get it in a few days like it happened before. You are really helpful and I am really thankful for your help.

That is really great! Stay with us, and we will stay with you. Fingers crossed, but if another one does happen, upload the new Minidump file (or all of them, we can easily work out which one is the new one) and we can tell you what has caused the problem this time.

Do you like MSE?

You currently have an old version of Java and Internet Explorer installed. These have many security vulnerabilities, and may allow viruses or hackers into your computer. Although, so far, you have been lucky, we really should update them. I have provided links below:

Internet Explorer 8: Internet Explorer 8 Windows 7 Security Features Malware Privacy

Java Version 6, Update 21: Download Free Java Software

Thank you so much, and if you have any more problems, do not hesitate to ask!

Tell me exactly what course of action you took regarding my list of suggested action.
I checked to see if driver SPTD was removed and saw that it was not. Before you submit a new report all the suggested remedies must be taken. Iwill then analzye the new report and suggest an appropriate course of action.
Thanks

I tried to uninstall the SPTD version the program found but when I restarted my pc the BSoD pop up before it even got to the account election page and when I turned th pc on, it took me to a page to fix the problem and restore to a previous point. Should I try again?

Some of the items that I mentioned are more important than others. VirtualizationProgram. Try to uninstall in safe mode. Once gone make sure that you remove all the virtualization program, (Daemon or maybe Alcohol 120%) by using the uninstall tool that I gave you for the SPTD driver.
SPTD is know to cause BSOD, so we must get rid of it..

The answer to the question, is the second under 4/2010. I thought it better to let you look at the doucments a while. So that you would have a better understading of how it works.

I hope that its going, ok. Its hard now, but it gets easier as we move on. Just take your time, do not rush because of me. I will stay until we get this done. I enjoy helping so, just relax, ask questions and make sure that you understand before doing anything.

Sorry for all the time but the pc kept on acting up more frequently, so I had to called Geek Squad. After 2 repairs (1 new memory stick change and processor/fan change) I was still getting the BSoD. Since I already had a repair last year I was able to get a new pc. Now I have a new Compaq with windows 7. Thank you so much for your help but I guess the pc needed to be change.

My Computer

I am very sorry to hear that it came to that, but I hope that you enjoy your new PC! See you around!

Richard
