Are these signs/symptoms of GPU problem?

After multitasking with alot of windows open & alot of photo editing- copy pasting for example, the following happens.

- PC locks up for 10-15secs after closing large paint res windows & itunes.
- Print screen shows up black.
- Alt+printscreen locks up pc & than disables aero.
- Sometimes taskbar goes black until hover mouse over it.

As soon as aero is disabled the pc runs bad & lags until reset.


My gpu is GT220 & I run two monitors. I want to know if this card & its drivers are just bad? As its not a popular card. All drivers are up to date.

So would getting a new decent card fix these issues?

With a lot of windows open you might be maxing out your memory which will result in performance issues. You might also be maxing out your gpu's capabilities if it isn't very powerful.

I monitored RAM usage, & GPU vram & its all fine, way below being maxed out.

Sometimes this happens with only 15 windows or 10. Yet other times I can have 40 windows & no issues.

Nope :cool:

Thats all I could make out in the long log, I doubt mail is anything to worry about with these symptoms.
