Also i use System Mechanic could that be the 3rd party defrag should i get rid of that?

I would remove System Mechanic.
As for the Driver Verifier, as far as i know, its the same in Windows 7 as it is in Vista, so the instructions should stand.

If it was my PC, i would download driver sweeper, (link below), boot into safe mode, un-install all my ATI software, reboot, download and install new drivers, (link below).

i just said ^&*%^ it and reinstalled my OS not that big of a deal it was kinda lagging anyways

any 3rd party defragers u recomend? or one to pirate? let me know my computer is all about performance but iv been messing with it too much
