Api_index_mismatc bsod need help!

Hello i have been getting API_INDEX_MISMATCH when i am reaching over 2gb of ram. I have done hard drive tests and ram tests and no problems. Im starting to think its a driver issue but i cant find it. Some one please give me a program to list my PC stats i forgot the one i use to use. This is on my desktop not laptop btw

Check your RAM voltage. All newer RAM DDR2 DDR3 have voltages of 1.9-2.5v if the voltage is not set right on the RAM you will always get BSOD. I had the same problem after building this PC.

Ok ill check that but I did not modify them only thing I have done latly is instal windows 7 64 bit from windows xp 32 bit

It is kingston 1024 mb ddr2 800. On my bios they are running at 667 and running at speeds 5559 duel chaneled

i am currently trying to figure out how to get windows debugger working i am downloading symbols now. Any suggestions on this i am looking for my .dmp files but i cant find them.

Ok i was looking at some forums and found STOP 0x00000001, 0X0000001, APC_INDEX_MISMATCH

it says this on 10. Too much RAM (> 2GB) may exceed motherboard and BIOS capabilities and create this STOP Error.

which explains it. could that have been it? i reinstalled my bios and ran 10 wow clients reaching 3.5gb of ram used no crashes

IDK if i fixed it yet but for the last few while i have been noticing some lag and hangs any idea what could be causing that? it might be the same issue

That i do not know about. Could be too much stuff running in the background?
Processor usage should be from 0%-25% at all times.

This is the path you need to access the symbols.
Open the debugger as administrator, go to File > Symbol File Path > and enter this (copy and paste) http://msdl.microsoft.com/download/symbols
When you download the symbols and install, they should go to the default location Windows Symbols.

um im missing the wbconfig.reg file or the windows backup registry file on my PC can some one give me the right name for it so i can download it or u guys can give me a copy? some reason when i reformat my laptop its always missing.

To set your system to record minidumps follow this.
1. Right click computer.
2. choose Advanced System Settings.
3. Go to Startup and recovery.



These are the default settings.

Here are my memory dump files the major one im having issues is APC_INDEX_MISMATCH can some one look at them and tell me what is the issue? im not good at this

there was a NTSF one on there probably cause i was trying to backup my laptop on my network to my desktop and it gave me BOSD too. but major issue atm is the APC one

If you have any part of your system overclocked, please set it to default. (until the problem is fixed).

NTFS was the cause of the first four dump files, this can be caused by,
"Disk corruption, insufficient physical memory, Device driver, Indexing, Resident antivirus, backup, defrag programs, Disk/Drive failing/failure"

The last one was the APC_INDEX_MISMATCH, the question is, did one cause the other.

I would start by removing any third party defrag and AV software.

Then run a full file check. http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/181765-elevated-command-prompt.html, sfc /scannow.

Next, go to your HDD manufacturers site and download the test software for your HDD and run it. If you have another HDD that you are sure is good, then try that.
