Solved Annoying UAC Prompts

so now that I used the offline NT Password Recovery Registry Editor, it seems to have screwed up my computer. For ex. : can't make user name (the admin account) go back to non-admin account, and also the CD (the .iso file) that I used seems to have put a huge amount of viruses on my PC - (about 6,000+ on my PC) when I ran a virus scanner, that's how many it said there was. Another problem I seem to be having since I loaded that CD is my computer runs slower than molasses. And I don't think I have a backup windows vista sp1 CD that should have came with my PC since vista sp1 was preloaded on my PC. Please help (A.S.A.P.) - before my PC crashes completely

(P.S.) I don't want to reload the Offline NT Password Recovery Registry Editor on PC ever again. (Screwed up my PC BIG Time!)

I'm sorry to hear about your recent problems. Giving the condition, formating the computer and doing a clean install may be best.

Since your computer came preloaded, then it is a OEM computer that most likely will have a D: recovery partition that can be used to restore Vista back to factory conditions.

If you can post back with what brand your computer is, I may be able to find instructions at your computer manufacturer's website on how to restore Vista back to factory conditions for you.

ok so the brand of my pc is a dell inspiron 530 with vista x64 bit, if thats what you mean by "brand", I hope that's what you mean.... but yea, It's a Dell Inspiron 530.

I think the CD screwed up the registery on the pc, so if you know of anything that can restore the registery, that would be helpful as well. Thank you.

This link will show you how to do a factory restore of Vista on a Dell. A factory restore will format your hard drive and reinstall Vista as it was when you first took it out of the box, so be sure to backup anything that you do not want to lose first.
