AMD or Intel?

AMD's chips are a lot better clockers now, but you still cant compare the two....

intel's ''core2'' architecture is leaps & bounds ahead of AMD's, clock for clock intel still overpower AMD wherever you look.

& lets not even get started on ''i5'' & ''i7'' ;)

i wouldnt say were ''crazy'' more like ''realists''
bah.... :sarc: must we go back to the fact that yes clock for clock intel is better........ but how much more does that cost you? a extra $50 to $100 of course.... or in the i7's case.. $200, price for price.... amd wins..... (and are less likely to overheat on you like the intels.... haha)

Well, The best processor keep changing every time AMD or Intel releases a better new one, so at a period of time Intel have better processor or AMD... I would prefer AMD over Intel tho as its cheaper and i dont go for the best one ...

AMD bought the ATI because with out this company would be forgotten soon enough. The ATI is what keeps AMD on the market, still.

I have been using AMD processors on and off since the days that they made 8088 chips for Intel. I like AMD for it's value and dependability, not to mention the fact that their competition keeps Intel on their toes. I bought the first Athlon (slot) series processor that proved to be the beginning of a success story for AMD. Whereas most of the computers that I have built have been AMD boxes, such was not always the case. In fact, three of my last four builds were Intel.

Who is better? Which ever company has the features and philosophy you can live with. For me it is AMD who tip the scales, but Intel is just fine too. ;)
