[Project] My HAF 932 Water-Cooling Build *56K Warning*

I decided to post this here, as it's a good place for it. plus everyone can see the extreme Cooling, as this is the overclocking and cooling section, thats exactly what this build will be doing... Enjoy guys, more pics to come soon.

OK, I've finally got all the parts. Everything has worked out perfect. I just started tonight, I'll be taking my Sig Rig, and making it into a Water-cooled HAF.. Yet to be named, but I have some idea's for it. (Gotta HAF Water, Darker HAF, My Better HAF, things like that. lol)

Anyways, I've never actually made a work log. so this is my first for that. I'll start with a picture of the goods, and then the case. Feel free to comment, leave constructive criticism, give me idea's. and ask questions.

OK, Here's the Case, Just got it in the mail.

9. PTS 3x3" Gel Stuff, For pump mount
10. Swiftech Micro Res v2 w/ DD Fatboy (High Flow 1/2 Barbs)
11. More DD Fatboy 1/2 High Flow Barbs
12. Swiftech Apogee GTZ Block w/ Same barbs
13. Black DD Fillport (Mounting in top of HAF)
14. Rust-oleum Black Satin Paint for inside case
If your wondering where the RAD is, I had the PA120.2 and had to sell it. I will have the Feser TFC 360 Tomorrow.

OK, Now to start. I've decided to paint the case Satin Black, and I just applied my second coat of primer.

I'll cut out the rear 120/140mm fan Grill to help with airflor and cut down on noise.

Ya the raven is ok, I almost got it, but it's just to crazy and weird looking for me, my case is sort of ugly outside also, but It's the performance of being able to mount my entire watercooling system inside the top of the case. Thats why I got it.

I just got my Radiotor, the Feser TFC360 RAD, it's the best on the market. looks amazing. Pics coming tonight. when I get my first black coat on.

Damn man, that looks like it's going to turn out fine. I'm still anxious about using water cooling in any of my systems, I'm to paranoid that something will spring a leak and destroy my components.

well, I've learned that little drops from a small leak in a seal. like a drop or 2 or 3.. or even 5 wont actually ruin anything, as long as you catch it. and it's distilled water.. as there's no minerals in there, and it's less conductive so wont short stuff out.

As long as it's not the entire tube falls off and poors your entire loop onto something. You're usually ok to power it down, and fix the problem

but yea, I'm a little nervous, it's my first time

gr i'm jealous...... i was going to get this case but it was out of stock when i went to get it and i had to get the NZXT one... which is still nice but i wanted the haf

It's much better in real life, yes it's a little industrial looking, and it's sort of ugly, but all the features, and performance things they did, just make it one of the best cases around. I really like it so far.

You said you liked the Thermaltake Armor? Why didn't you get that as that has a bunch of room at the top for watercooling, as well.

Though I think the HAF case looks nice.

yea, the HAF has pre drilled holes to fit my 360 RAD.. so it will work pefect, it has 3 230mm fans, fron't, side, and top. It also has a pre cut Filport so I can easily top off my loop.. Most cases don't have these nice extra's.

Thanks Skunk... I've been a working at it most of today. but not a lot of pics.

So, Like the above says, I got a lot done, but not many pics. I went ahead and got up this morning and did another coat of Satin Black at about 10 in the morning. around 1:30 I did some Wet Sanding with some 1000 grit paper, just lightly, nothing to severe. and then I let it dry, helped it with my Compressor of air.. haha. And then I did another coat, and so on.

So today I did 3 more coats, for a total of 5 coats to my CM HAF inside. It looks really good, and I think the sanding really helped smooth it out, so I don't have too much of that orange peel look to it. but I didn't do it to the last 2 coats. I was going to add a clear coat protectant, but the guy at my local Home Depot said I didn't need to, but what does he know. MY paint had a protectant added to the can, so I should be good with just that. plus I'll use grease where you take the panel off to help with scratching.

Anyways, enough talking, Here are the pics.

Here are some pics of my Fans, like said above. I got the Yate Loon Medium speed fans, and I went ahead and sleeved all them today. I love the sleeve job, I hate the look of wires. Sleeving just looks so clean.

And thats about it for now, I took a few more pics than that, but I'll have to do some editing in Lightroom tomorrow and remove some of the marks from the dust in the Sensor on my Nikon D40, to bad amazon's shipping is slow, or I'd have my sensor cleaner already. Sad I know. ;(

Very nice sleeve work on those fan wires! And a very good idea that I never even considered! I assume it's just the standard heat shrink wrap plastic on the ends of the sleeving?

also where do you get sleeveing ?

you can buy sleeving kits online, but I got mine at the local Fry's electronics, and then used standard black heat shrink tubing.

if you order your parts from performancepc's.com there is the option where they will sleeve them for you, but for hoe easy it is. I'd rather do it myself like I did. Sleeving is fun, and they look just great, and very clean after.

ok guys, I did some more work today, finished putting the Case back together for the most part, I'll be working on the watercooling tomorrow. Here's a few pictures for you, nothing special. I'm in a Lamp lit room, with no good lighting to take a real picture. So I just thought I'd post a few. More will come tomorrow.
