So the problem I need solved involves a Laptop running Vista and a Digital Download copy of Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 Platinum however the game doesn't just start up because the laptop has a dual core and the Dual core FIX that's on the net makes the DIGITAL download version require a disc

I'm not familiar with the game, but i was wondering if a no CD patch would solve the problem of needing a disk.

You could try power ISO, i used this when i had GTA San Andreas,,, worked great!!
Ill try and work out how i did it then post it on here... Or you could search Google for a tutorial.

May not be much help but ...
Have you tried not using the dual core fix?
I unfortunatly can not speak for Vista, but had the game running on 7 with a Quad core machine.
One other thought.
Have you checked the distributors website where you got the digital DL from?
Some of them (Direct2drive for example) require special patches/fixes with thier digital version. Or, that fix is already implemented into the download.
Using a patch/fix from anywhere else other than the special ones they have will break the games DRM they have implemented.
