Virtual Folder

My 'C' drive is a 30GB partition, big mistake. It should have been more like 40 or 50GB partition but I cannot be bothered to format, re-partition and re-install everything.

I have about 3GB of COD5 mods in my appdata folder. Can you create a 'virtual folder' in my appdata folder so when the game goes looking for the mods it will find them however the actual files will be stored on another HDD?

or you could use a 3rd party app like parigon to expand the partition

Thanks. That is in the right direction however not quite what I was looking for.

I know extending the partition is the best option, I just don't have the time nor will to go through the process.


I want to perform a similar act to mounting an NTFS drive to a folder (as in through Disk Management).
I remember reading about doing the exact thing I want a long time ago but I cannot for the live of me remember how to do it.

i use easeus partition manager... you just drag a slider to the amount you want, click apply near top left corner of the window, and it might tell you to reboot.
iit will take a coupla mins to resize but no changes will be made to your files.

For the benefit of future Googlers...

I found what I wanted after stumbling across this post. All the way down the bottom it mentions 'Symbolic Linking'. That is exactly what I wanted.

It enables me to store the files on my M:\ drive while the game is still able to access the files as if they were on my (deathly overcrowded) C:\ drive.
