When given the choice during software installation, what's the difference between installing to "Program Files" and "Program File (x86)"?

Hello Davdun,

Since you have a 32-bit Vista, you will not have a C:\Program Files (x86) folder.

In a 64-bit Vista, the C:\Program Files (x86) folder is for installed 32-bit software, and the C:\Program Files folder is for installed 64-bit software. It's Vista's way of keeping them separate and organized.

Brink was right to assume that. It says Vista Home Premium 32bit in your system spec. You may want to fill this out completely for best help. Take care!
