Hi,
I am having trouble installing fonts?
When I right click on my fonts to install, the drop down box is missing "install"
Can anyone tell me where it has gone?
I use to be able to install fonts, by right clicking on the font..but not
anymore?
I have to copy it to the fonts folder..
Annoying!
Thanks
Rip

Hi Riptorn

Go to Start > Control Panel > Fonts > File > Organize > Layout > Make sure 'Menu Bar' is checked > then File again > Install New Fonts.

Hope this helps.

Hi Neil.
Thanks, but all that is done. The thing is, I use to be able to right click on a font and it would say install, now I have to go about it all in control panel.
Were has my right click context menu gone??

Type SHELL.FONTS into the Start/search and hit Enter. That should bring up the fonts folder. Then you can drag your font from the desktop into that folder.

Sorry, just noticed a typo. It should read SHELL:FONTS. Note the colon (not period) after SHELL.

LOL, Anyway, have you got the right click, that lets you install fonts, if you right click on it?
I lost mine?

I am not sure I understand this right click business. All you need to do is move the font on the desktop (or open the folder where the font resides in a small window) and then drag it over to the Fonts folder once you opened that. I have done that several times and it works perfectly. Just make sure you move the font and not a shortcut of it.
