Cannot Select Multiple Files and Folders Fix for Vista

This will show you how to fix the problem of not being able to select multiple files and folders in Vista Windows Explorer. By default, you can select multiple files and folders in Vista.

EXAMPLE: Multiple Folders Selected in Windows Explorer

Here's How:
1. Go to this site below and click on the Fix Single Select link to download the FixSingleSelect.zip file at http://home.mchsi.com/~k.miller79/ .​
2. Click on Save and save the FixSingleSelect.zip file to the Desktop.​
3. Right click on the FixSingleSelect.zip (on desktop) file and click Open.​
4. Click Allow for UAC prompt.​
5. Extract the FixSingleSelect.vbs file to the desktop.​
6. Click or doubleclick on the FixSingleSelect.vbs file (on desktop) to run it.​
7. Close all Windows Explorer windows and click OK in the prompt. (See screenshot below)​

8. Click OK in the prompt. (See screenshot below)​
WARNING: Do not open any Windows Explorer windows before doing step 9 below, or this may not work for you.​

9. Log off and log on, or restart the computer to apply the changes.​

10. You can now delete the FixSingleSelect.zip and FixSingleSelect.vbs files on the desktop if you would like to. You will not need them anymore.​
