Like if you just maxed out a pc/os with everything?
The 64-bit versions of windows support 198GB of ram, so yeah that would be neat, cache everything...EVERYTHING...MUHUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Ok did I go too far?
Let's see and 10 2TB hard drives xD
Intel's best processor and overclocked, which is like the ie7 extreme quad-core something right? Oh and could you do more than one of those? Has intel made it possible to easily double up at home without making some custom supercomputer or something, if so, like 2, maybe 4 of those.
Uhm the Nvidia graphics card that supports 3d(yeah, and it's like the movie theatre 3d, not just computer 3d!) and everything. xD I hope it comes with the glasses!
60" preasure sensitive High definition touchscreen monitor
Wireless n+ technology and bluetooth
Fingerprint reader(these are actually great time savers while taking notes in class if you have to log on to moodle or something really quick.)
Hmm what am I missing?
4 cd/dvd/blueray +-rewritable
Yeah and with this set-up I'd also have mac and linux dual booting with windows, several versions of each.
Oooo and have HP make it so you get a color matching keybard and like 20% off everything! They'll make the monitor look neat too! lol
Yeah what else would you need for the next 2 years? xD

    Internet Speed
    ISP say 6MB/S, but it's faster :]
Intel 386 processor overclocked at 40Mhz (40mhz being a 100% overclock, stock speed being 16mhz)
10GB hard drive
386-compatible mobo
Savage S4 agp video card with blazing fast 3mb of GDDR VRAM
Windows 95 for the OS
15" CRT monitor
IDE disc drive
Floppy drive (such awesome technology!)
Cardboard box for the case

You could probably get like over 9000 fps on Doom with this beast.

I think a large ssd drive would be the best thing about new products. Having a few of them in a raid configuration so they worked even faster would take the mike.
As regards to ram 32gig With four monitors connected.

You know SSD's will have eventually expire as they slowly wear out. Sequential reads and writes will also slow them down too. These pc's are pointless. No matter how much you spend it will become obsolete anyway.

I think of my main dream machine as being a colletion of machines in a network. This would have to be in the house by the lake I intend to design when I win the lottery.:D

1 machine for security, 1 for music and video, 1 for the kitchen, and 1 for playing games. Not to forget the spare incase 1 breaks.

Give me a break... It'll take me less than two days to fill that. And that's if I need to sleep. I could probably do it in a good few hours (with a fast connection and uTorrent).

Until now, TotallyAwesome has the right idea. Anything that reaches 9000 fps pwns all your a**es.

For your dream machine, you gotta have millions of gadgets. I mean, millions. Here's where you find them. If you want a dream computer, you're gonna need an awesome mouse, and the coooooooolest microphone ever. With lasers.
