Not sure if there's already a thread here like this but I'll give it a shot.
I'm curious what opinions everyone has out there about IE 8 B2?
So far I've tried it two times. I installed it a few months back when I still had XP and didn't like it at all. Then, after I upgraded to Vista, I tried it again and still didn't like it, 2 months later. Top it all off, I couldn't revert back to IE 7 as easily. I had to completely do a System Restore in order to do so. What's even worse, is even though I did that, some things were all messed up from the process. So I just ended up re-installing Vista to fix it.
So now I'm completely anti-IE8. I love IE entirely. But it just doesn't seem ready yet. I know they're still working on it and is not due for official release until possibly November, however, is that still too soon?
Some features I disliked:
Features I do like:
Even when it is officially released, I'm not planning on upgrading to it for a while. Especiallly not until I know for sure that if I do, I can revert back to IE 7 easily, if I want to.
So those are my view points. I'm curious what others have to say.

Some features I disliked:
- Colored tabs. ew. hard on the eyes, what's going on? keep them all the same.
- Location bar drop down menu. wayyyy too complicated, and right about where I have my mouse when I click it to select a previous website I entered, a small delete button appears and many times I click that and then realize, crap I just deleted it - annoying.
- Compatibility Option. Okay what's with this? What are they changing that's making it INCOMPATIBLE with websites in the first place? Shouldn't it be compatible with all websites? Kind of annoying to have to even worry about that.
Features I do like:
- Crisper appearance. Pretty much the look of the tabs. I like how flatter they are and brighter and without having the colored tabs option on.
- Accelerators. I can see how this is going to get sloppy over time but choosing to be smart about it and keeping it simple, this is quite handy.
- Additional Security. Finally MS is stepping it up. I like the SmartScreen Filter and InPrivate Browsing add ons.
- Web Slices. I don't know. I have a thing about so much stuff running in the background literally, looking for information keeping you updated behind the scenes (like RSS feeds) hogging bandwidth. I hardly have any reason to concern myself with speed considering my connection but, I just don't like stuff running in the background. Plus, isn't this the same as RSS feeds. So now they're just giving you a pop up display when you mouse over it in your Favorites bar to show you more.
Seems like it's getting more trashy with all that kind of stuff. Like having toolbars. Toolbars are just "junk drawers" full of stuff for people to sift through. I like to keep it clean and organized.
However I can see how the Web Slices is handy if you keep it simple. Like for weather. Then when you mouse over it, it shows you 5 day forecasts. Or their example in their video for Ebay users. Me not being an Ebay person, I would never utilize that. So it's 50/50 on that one.
