Hi, Im trying to install XP to an SATA hard drive, but i dont have an floppy disc drive, and my BIOS is set to ATA, and to make things worse, i have an OEM disc. Anybody have an idea how i could it.

you need to go into your bios and change the boot order to boot from the cd/dvd first, than your hdd.

that way it will always check your cd/dvd drive first and you can boot from your install cd/dvd.

Hi fadedrs, I did that. It boots off the disc ok, and loads ok. But when it finishes loading it reboots, then I get an message saying "A Disk Read Error Occurred, Press Ctrl + Alt + Del to Restart". That is were it ends, I cannot get it to install.
