Hi,

Got a new pc arriving next week which has 4GB Memory, to provide upgradeability in future i want to install x64. I'm sure the drivers are all ok now.

I originally downloaded my DVD as part of technet subscription, question is is this for both x32 and x64 versions?

Any ideas of my existing DVD has ultimate x64 on it?

Not too sure coz i dont have any experience with tech net, but if you've only got one dvd, chances are it wont have both the 32 & 64 bit versions. But as long as you've paid for it, in theory you could just download it from technet without having to pay extra.

64 bit is worth it. All my ram works! The O/S itself is a lot more responsive etc. Ive had no problem with incompatible programs/drivers either. But make sure you download your 64 bit drivers first & burn them to a dvd.

EDIT: As long as you've got a licence, i cant see anything wrong with downloading one via torrent, then inputting your licence key if the above doesnt work.

Hello deason

question is is this for both x32 and x64 versions?

I don't have experience with Technet either but if
you have a full Retail version you can get the x64
DVD from MS for like 9.95 thru the mail.

I hope this helps.

Later  Ted
