Does WoW64 take up any (extra) RAM when emulating a 32 bit program?

And when I'm running a 32bit program with WoW64 emulation, it will still use my processor to the best of it's ability right?

What are the most popular apps that you recommend that are specifically designed for 64 bit?

My Computer

It should just open a 32-bit memory space for each program like how XP Pro handled 16 bit apps.

Most apps are 32-bit. A few games, A/V and CAD apps are 64-bit. Photoshop CS4 will be 64-bit. Crysis and Farcry are 64-bit.

Add to that the x64 versions of Windows Media Player and Internet Explorer.

One other important factor to consider is that even if Wow64 does impact memory, it is extremely marginal and is overshadowed by the enhanced performance of the x64 memory management engine. In most cases that I've tested, I've found that x86 (32-Bit) programs, including games, perform better on Vista x64 than they do on Vista x86.
