*** A friend says that my headset (a Cyber Acoustics headset) doesn't work with vista, can anyway confirm this as true? If so than this thread can be ignored and i'll just get a new headset, if not then please help!! ***
So, i just bought a computer today from walmart. I needed a new one because my old one was pretty ancient. Here is a link to the walmart page of the computer. The one on walmart.com is the exact PC i purchased from the store.
Walmart.com: eMachines EL1300G-01w Desktop with AMD Athlon 2650e Processor & Windows 7 Tech Guarantee Upgrade: Computers
I personally find the above info useless as it's a sound problem. By going to Device Manager i know that I have Realtek High Definition Audio.
I've tried updating the Realtek Audio Drivers 2 or 3 times now, I've tried giving everything in Playback/Recording devices max volume.
I am using a headset with a mic (and i also have a mic on my webcam but it's terrible). There are two ports for the mic, front and back, and I've tried both.
Just incase it will help I'm posting a screenshot of Recording and Playback tabs in the Sound Menu. Screenshots having Show Disabled/Disconnected Device's turned on.
Please help, i hate playing WoW without vent, i get so lonely. </3
Added a picture of what happens when i try to do the mic setup. I get a little bit of green and it just stays there no matter how loud i am. =[
