Blue screen on shutdown

hope someone can help. Everytime i try to shutdown my VAIO it goes through the process and at the last moment i get a full blue screen it says dumping physical memory and automatically restarts. The only way i can switch it off is to force a shutdown by holding the power button. When i do this then every time i restart it, ittells me it wasn't shut down properly. Help it's very annoying and sure it's not good for the machine:huh:

attach a copy of your dump file to a post

c/windows/minidump , it'll be in the minidump folder

every time i try to attach it i get an invalid file type from the forum

only way i have got this to attach is to rename it as a .doc should be a .dmp don't know if this will work though

Hi bing, attaching a minidump as .doc will not work. However, i had the same issue once and i did a Repair Install and it worked for me.

use winzip mate and compress (zip it) first
