Hello Geldra,
You could try and create a folder on your desktop and copy all the files from the DVD in to that, then you can install from there.
Explore the DVD and copy and paste all the files in to the new folder.
It's more of a work around than a fix, but should get your games going.
Hope this helps, good luck and post your results.

1. Create a new folder on your Desktop. (right click anywhere on your desktop and choose New, then choose, Folder).
2. Right click on the DVD icon in Computer and choose explore.
3. Go to Edit and choose Select All.
4. When all the contents of the DVD are highlighted, right click any file or folder and choose Copy.
5. Open the new folder and right click anywhere in the folder and choose paste.
6. When all the files have been copied right click on the Setup .exe icon in the new folder and choose Run as Administrator.

When you copy and paste the files from the DVD to the new folder, they will take a while, so you need to be patient.

When the game has been installed, you can delete the new folder if you want to.
The Setup .exe looks like this.

Go to Device Manager and see if there are any yellow triangles in there.
Is it only on these disks, or all disks ?.

no yellow triangles
ive only tried it with these discs
on the link u gave me this happens-

When you insert a CD or a DVD, Windows Vista may not recognize the disc. If you double-click the disc drive in Windows Explorer after you insert the disc, you receive the following error message:
Insert disk
Please insert a disk into Drive E

but y would windows media player be the problem- ive never used it and how is it related to gaming?

it says that maybe the audio device is disabled
how do i check if it is?

My Computer

Its not related to gaming, its due to the fact that the DVD/CD player is for all types of media, if you read the whole page it does tell you how to check your Audio devices.
Try another disk in the drive and see if it reads that one, try a music CD.
