WMP11 Server Help

Greetings all,

My Pc running Vista and my PS3 have always gotten along until a couple of days ago. for some reason now, I can see my PSE (unknown device) in the sharing settings of WMP 11 but my PS3 is unable to see my PC. I used to get a little icon under media server that allowed me to access everything from my PS3 of course, and now that is gone too...my PC cannot be found at all.

Here is where it gets really interesting. On my 360, I can see my video library if I connect through the Windows Media Center tab on, but when I look for the media server under the video tab, it is not there.

So this leads me to believe that my PC is no longer presenting itself as a media server on my network. MSCONFIG says I have network media sharing enabled and WMP 11 says the same.

I think the easiest solution would be a system restore. There may be other solutions fooling with WMP settings etc, but lets try to get this done. Go back 3 days before the problem.

No dice. Got an unspecified error during restore so no restore happened. tried with two different restore points and got the same error ;-(

Btw...using a Rampage III board, i7 960 @ 4ghz, 12g ram running at a little over 1600, and a 1 TB raid.
