WMP will not start when any MP3 player is plugged in or if a cd is in the drive.

Just like the title says I get a windows media player has stopped working message as soon as I start it up while a MP3 player is plugged in. Please help!

Running Windows Vista Ultimate 64, 2gb ram, Intel Core2 Quad Q6700 2.66ghz.
