Hi wysiwyg,

The Netgear Router must be correctly connected to your ADSL adapter which should be connected to the net. If you connect with a cable to the Router does it work?

The adaptor needs to be in range of the Router if you are using a back USB port it might be advisable to use a USB cable to get the Adapter as high as possible.

It could be possible if there are a lot of Networks where you are that you may hav to change the Router Channel

If you are trying to connect through several walls you may need some sort of booster

I hope this helps

It refuses to "see" my Network.

Let me make sure what you mean.

  1. Your computer cannot "find" the network ID being broadcast by your router in the list of available networks?
  2. Your computer finds the router and can connect to it, but you can't access the internet (WAN)? or
  3. Your computer connects to the router and WAN, but can't "see" the other computers hooked up to the same router?
Since all of these could pass for meaning what you said, and all point to different issues, please let me know which number is the closest to the problem you are experiencing....
