Alright, a little background story since I feel it is relevant. I use the router DIR-628 RangeBooster n Dual Band Router. My in-built Laptop wireless card is Intel(R) Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN.
I am two floors up from the router itself. I used to use it in my room and play World of Warcraft fine, there were no lag spikes or anything like that.
I then moved to my basement for about a month. Once again, the wireless was working perfectly, there were no spikes when I was playing Counter Strike (since I quit WoW at about that time).
Now I am back to my room, and when I play Counter Strike, I experience huge spikes. I play normally at about 60 ms ping, and then all of a sudden it shoots up to 4000 ms. Sometimes the internet disconnects entirely, sometimes it doesn't. I have tried numerous things, but nothing seems to work.
Can any1 give me some pointers?
I run Vista Home premium 32bit.
