Wireless connection problem

Hey Guys

I Am running a 64x vista os and I've installed a linksys PCI adapter into it... well the problem is that i have connection to the internet, but the connection just keeps identifying, normally i would mind, but recently i've notice that all online games lags (not like once every five minutes, almost constantly)... I'm sure that the computer can cut the setting, and my connection is 10/10 mbit so ain't that either... I just ran out of ideas that might help, if anyone know something that might help i would greatly appreciate it.

What are all the specs. Did you have an internal nic before the linksys? Are you using wireless on the linksys?

What's an internal nic? and yes the linksys adapter is wireless just as the router.

Internal nic is jargon for do you have a port on the back of the computer for a ethernet or wired connection to the router?

Also, does the game experience lag through the wireless or the wired connection?

I found out i do have a nic... the game doesn't lag when i play through a wired connection, but when i use my wireless(which i always do at home) it lags, and my connection is like 0,25 mb/s down and 3mb/s up(as i said i have 10/10).

How far away are you from the wireless router? What security is the router running?
