WinVNC 32 on my Vista 64?

I thought 32 stuff were not compatible with 64 bit systems (not saying WinVNC 32 bit is working on it) but it ALWAYS appears in the icon bar on startup and I can never hide it (and that was originally the problem, trying to hide it).

Considering there is not even a program files folder for it or on my start menu, what does it do? I double click the icon on the taskbar and it just pops up some eye in a window with copyright information. It doesn't actually let me do anything....especially not view someone else's monitor.

Guess this thing installs itself when you let a Dell representative take control of your pc? (that's what I let someone do to get my drivers and stuff back after I did a fresh vista install)

The winvnc.exe process is used to allow 'remote control' of your desktop from another computer either on a network or across the internet.
If you use VNC to remote control on to your PC you should leave this process running.

Yeah the thing is, why is it Winvnc thirty two bit instead of 64 and why can't I ever hide the damn thing? I would keep it but it's driving me nuts, well what do you know, it's uninstalled now lol.

Besides, I don't see how this will prevent a dell guy to take control of my pc. I just have to go to the dellconnect site. the eye thing really doesn't do anything, i guess it automatically installs when a dell person takes control of my comp, I don't know. Apparently even the DELL guys can answer this for me (talked to them) and called winvnc a third party software and therefore cannot help answer my questions. yeah, and? it's third party but it installs itself on the damn dell. for this reason dell people should know what it is, and how to hide it at least...

Your system specs say your running "OS Vista Home Premium 32bit" thats what confused me.

oh yeah...i should fix that. it's definitely 32 bit, i thought all inspiron 1515's came with 64 or something...but I checked computer properties and it says 64

By the way does 64 means it's twice as fast as 32 bit? (computer processing speed?)
