WINSXS files

I once saw a thread here that talked about WINSxS files and it's unending need to add files?
I've come across this issue with printer drivers. They show up as a "Bad File Type" when I run the "Advanced Windows Cleaner" program (a download). After digging down to the WinSxs file, I find that the errors listed all pertain to one specific file that leads to HP Printer Drivers, which are listed for each specified type of HP printer... I do not use a printer, nor have I attached one to this PC...??? So why the added files and why are they growing in size (eg, 38kb, 86kb, 128, kb)? How can I stop this and get rid of these HP files, in the SxS files? I tried to delete the files, but it says I don't have access, eventhough I'm the admin for this PC... Lots of questions, hopefully someone has the right answer..

Thanks,

Hi, Will56, and welcome to the forums.

Those are probably built in HP drivers in Windows Vista.

Thanks JG,
You're correct, they are the HP driver files, but what is happening is that they are growing in (file) size, according to the Windows Cleaner fault page. Each time I run the cleaner, it says that these files are a "BAD FILE TYPE", and when I read the data associated with those findings, I see that the file size (each file) is increasing? If this is the case, they're eating away at my disk space and need to be deleted, along with the fact that I don't use or need them... So, do you know how I can get rid of them, without killing off programs I need?
