Ok so i decided to dual-boot Windows XP, and when i was finished i popped in my vista disc and re-installed the MBR so i could boot into Vista. But now XP isn't there. It boots straight to vista. So how would i go about fixing this.

Hi kidfork,

Boot into Vista, go to Folder Options and make sure Hidden files and Protected operating system files are showing.

See if the XP boot files are there - they probably are - they look like this - the ones at the bottom , not the yellow folders:

Assuming they are there, type cmd in start search box, when the black box pops up, rt click and run as admin .

At the prompt - (this bit >) , type: ( press enter after each command)

bcdedit /create {ntldr} /d “XP” {enter}
bcdedit /set {ntldr} device boot {enter}
bcdedit /set {ntldr} path \ntldr {enter}
bcdedit /displayorder {ntldr} /addlast {enter}

Hope it helps
