Solved windows vista will not boot from cd/dvd

Hi guys,

need some advice and help please.

factory reset a acer laptop the other night and received the following error message

file: \windows\system32\winload.exe
statusL 0xc000000e
info: the selected entry could not be loaded as missing or corrupt.

now i'm happy up to this point but the problem i have is that i try to boot to cd/dvd and cannot.

I have entered the BIOS updated the boot priority order as shown in the attached photo but with no success.
I have then tried to get the CD to boot from 2 other PCs that i have and the process is a success so that eliminates an error on the CD.
I've even gone as far as copying the contents on to a USB drive but again no boot from USB drive.

i cannot enter repair or recover your disk as the option is not available.

So, If you cannot boot from Disk? what other options do you have?

for anyone else having this issue. comments as follows.

Laptop - Acer Aspire 5536

At the white ACER BIOS screen, hold the “Alt” key and press the “F10” key simultaneously to start Acer eRecovery.
Once eRecovery has loaded, click “Restore to Factory Default Settings”
Click “OK” to continue.
From here, the eRecovery process will update all the data on the C: drive and restore a fully functional factory image (approximately 10 minutes).
Once eRecovery has run, press “OK” to reboot unit.

WARNING -- ***This will erase all your unsaved data!***
