windows vista home premium 32 bit

hiya all i have been running windows vista for ages now and wanted to wipe my hard drive clean as had some software problems so i used wipedrive which i bought online as was told this was the best software to completely remove everything from hard drive and when i went to install windows vista it works fine up until the part where it says finalizing installation and i get a error saying boot mgr not found and the installation stops i have tried everything i can think of but still cant get it working

This sounds like it could be a bad CD. Try borrowing one from a friend or something and see if you get the same error.

Do you have any other hard drives, usb drives, usb thumb drives, firewire drives, SD flash cards, or floppy disks: inserted, plugged in, or attached other than the hard drive you are booting from? If you have anything else, other than the hard drive you are installing to, your bios could be telling the system to boot from the other device. I had the exact same thing happen when I was installing to a pata drive and had another sata drive plugged in, and also when I forgot and left a usb thumb drive plugged in. Also be sure you format your drive when you get to the point in the installation where you pick the drive or partition to install it on. Its under the link marked advanced or something like that.

While that is a possibility, I find it unlikely. If it were trying to boot off something else, either it would, or it wouldn't. It would not cause it to slow and freeze like that. More likely it is another problem entirely.
