Solved windows vista advent 5421

I have the cable to connect a pc to tv, but on trying to connect the advent 5421 I am having problems in seeing the programmes I want to watch. I can hear them but cannot see them. I can see the desktop display picture I have on laptop on the tv and can hear sound but that is all. Is there something else I need to adjust to be able to view the programmes ....thanks guys

Hello and good morning from Phoenix, Arizona...

You can see what your computer is by doing the following.

Click Start
Right click on computer
Click properties and another screen will appear and tell you what your running along with what bit..

it is a 32bit and I dont know what you mean by wmp 10 or 11

Hi angie, sorry for the delayed reply, you need to set the graphics output to the tv as cloned, at the moment you have it set to extended, You can do this on the sis control panel if it is installed, I'm not at my computer so I cannot show you how to do it at the moment..

MrNeeds, I do have the sis tray and it says Rotate 0, refresh rate 60 hertz, resolution 1280 x 800

Hi MrNeeds, I have managed to do it. Finally.....you were right exactly about having to clone it...it is now saved for continuous use

You're very welcome angie, sorry I couldn't provide a more detailed description of how to enable clone mode but I'm on iPad at the moment lol.

Ye I had it on classic view on control panel which didnt show up the vga menu section (so to speak) anyways, I clicked on normal view and saw the vga section so clicked on it and hey presto....all my dreams came true when I saw it lol was so relieved so cloned it and saved setting.....thankgoodness you came on in time cos it was doing my head in...spent hours searching around....cheers once again
