Windows Vista .32 or .64 or XP?

Hello guys!
Well, this is my first post ever, and I'm having issues, and on-going discussions with my friends as I'm getting a new computer. I am trying to decide whether to get the 64 bit version or 32 bit version of vista, or just go for windows XP.

This is the current setup of my going to be ordered computer (ordering it next week).

Mother board: EVGA nForce 680i SE SLI (TR Version) Motherboard - NVIDIA, Socket 775, ATX, Audio, SLI Ready, PCI Express, Dual Gigabit LAN, S/PDIF, USB 2.0 & Firewire, Serial ATA, RAID

CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.40GHz Processor

Ram: OCZ Dual Channel Gold XTC 2048MB PC6400 DDR2 800MHz Memory (2 x 1024MB) (times 2 for 4gigs of ram)

Hard drive: Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 250GB Hard Drive - 7200, 8MB, Serial ATA-300, OEM (I don't really d/l things all that often...didn't need that much room)

GFX card: HIS Radeon X1950 Pro / 512MB GDDR3 / PCI Express / DL Dual DVI / HDTV / CrossFire Ready / Video Card

cd/dvd writer/reader: Pioneer DVR-112DBK OEM DVD Burner - 18x DVD±R Burn, 16x DVD±R Read, 8x DVD+RW, 6x DVD-RW, 10x DVD±R DL, 40x32x CD-R/RW, Black, with Software

I also have a logitech webcam, a "Z-board, WoW eddition" and a PSP to consider.

My question is simple...will Vista 64bit version support these? If not, will the 32bit version support this setup?

And finally, if no for both, what should i really change in my build for the comp? (Don't really think that getting windows XP is a good idea, but if you guys think so, please lemme know.)

Thanks alot in advance, Rheagar101!

I don't know about the webcam (I think logitech has new drivers for some of their models), the Z-board, and the PSP, but the rest of it should work with 64-bit. I also know there were some WoW issues with 64-bit. I don't know if those have been resolved. If you play a lot of WoW, you might want to take a look into that.

As far as I can tell, though, it should work fine.

Here's my question for you: If you're getting an SLI motherboard, why get an ATI card? I personally love my Crossfire system, but you need a Crossfire ready motherboard for that. The way it stands, if you ever plan on adding another card, you're going to end up buying 2 nVidias.

Long story short: Go with Vista x64. Anything else is a waste.

Hey everyone. My first post here but I've been coming here for quit awhile. Anyway, imo, I'd definately get a p35/p38 mb. They have the 1333 fsb and will handle the 45nm cpus' that are fixing to hit the market. Plus they're crossfire ready if you want to get into high resolution gaming (1920 x 1200 and above with everything maxed). The q6600 you want has the G0 stepping so you're good there. Even tho it is 1066 fsb its quad and ocs' nice. Plus when you're ready to upgrade to a 45nm quad you'll already have the mb for it.

Definately go vista x64. Things were really shakey at first but are getting better every update. XP will be around for a long while but the future lies with vista x64.
