Windows search

When I open my contacts folder to do a search for a contact that I know is in the folder ,I am getting no results found. I have tried every type of search, advanced etc and its not working. I know it worked originally but it has stopped for some reason.

searching other folders work ok

Are you sure you have any contacts built into the Vista Address Book?

Yes I have them in there. When I click on contacts from the Windows mail program I can see the list of contacts...but the search feature does not work from the Windows mail or from explorer

Since posting I went ahead and installed the Windows live desktop beta which works quite well including the search. So I will probably stick with it, but I am really curious why it doesnt work otherwise
