Windows Media Player 11 Crash

I am sorry if this issue was already discussed but i have been having this problem ever since i installed microsoft windows vista ultimate 32bit. Whenver i either start wmp11, run a video or audio file that it is associated with, or run the plugin in either firefox 3.0 or IE 7.0 it crashes, as well as crashing the browsers. Here is the error report from problems reports within vista. Please help me, as this problem is has been plauging me for awhile.

What codec packs, if any, have you installed? Quite possibly this is what is causing the crash.

Try uninstalling all the codec packs (you can't use XP codec packs with Vista, not reliably anyway), and then install the 32-bit version available here - Vista Codec Package Homepage
