Windows Media Center not working

Hello all. I apologize if I do this wrong. I am new to this. I also apologize if I am asking a previously posted question. I have read through some responses but they don't directly address my issue, which is: I installed a Win TV 850 tv tuner and it worked great up until this Feb 2009. Then it would not work. I spoke to company and they asked I find disc and reinstall. I did an then now nothing. Not only does tv tuner not work but Windows Media Center won't even start. I keep getting a " Windows has stopped working" message. I can't do anything now. Can some one advise me as what to do to restore WMC and get my tv tuner towork again? thanks Marty:D

I would start by removing anything Media Center related. Drivers, software, 3rd party apps. Then restart PC then restart Media Center and see if it will start up. If it will start installing the drivers and programs one at a time and testing Media Center every time something is completed. If at anytime it stops working through the reinstall proses you will know right away which of the programs or drivers is the culpert.
