Here i am going crazy,
There is something stopping me from receiving and sending e-mail
from WINDOWS MAIL Everything else works good on my computer.
If i go to the Internet and sent myself mail from there it works.
What could be stopping it? I have eastlink security and i am thinking of going to avg.
Do you have a link for free avg? I know this problem is not eastlink. I don't have ad-aware or any other virus program.

I would go with AVAST uses less reasources than AVG and has a smaller footprint.

as far as windows mail did you check your firewall settings.

also windows mail settings tomake sure something did not change for some reason

I did check windows firewall and it was off but i put it on but it didn't

check your account settings. like your outgoing mail server settings and your incomming mail server settings.

downloaded avg then checked setting .....incoming and out going......i can go to the internet server mail box and send mail to windows mail and it works but i can't get windows mail to work.....i even went back to the 16th.....going to check out your links....thanks jinky

you didnt do what i always do and put STMP instead of SMTP did you?
