Windows Mail

Ok I am pulling my hair out. I imported my address book from Outlook express and can't get the windows mail to complete address when I start typing it, I have put a check more in auto complete and tried all kinds of stuff, but still doesn't work.

Being new to VISTA forum, not sure if this topic has already been discussed and solved.

If so, can somebody help the rookie

Hi Browser and welcome to the Vista forums!

Long story but Windows Mail remembers only 20 mail recipients (or 29?), so that is the reason why your old mail contacts don’t show automatically in the sender list.
The registry key is there: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows Mail\Recently Used Addresses

One Trick is to write in the 3 first digits of your contact and then press the Tab key.
If you have more than one contact beginning with the 3 digits, type in 4 or 5 or......more.
It is one of the reasons why i do not use WM.
