Windows Mail sending problem

My Windows Mail (and I have tried Windows live mail), are both experiencing the same problem now. I have removed any virus checkers from the computer, and not found any spam/etc that I am aware of.

My problem is that when I send mail it immediately goes into the Sent Mail folder (not the outbox) and acts as if everything was sent ok. The mail never makes it, and by the speed it seems as if it never hits the server, or tries.

I have reset all mail accounts, tried different mail clients and the same thing happens.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

If you go to tools, options, send- are all the boxes checked? Is send immediately ticked.

When you send are you online or do write off line and then go online to send?

Tell me how you send
An email is written, tell me what you do? Tell me are you online or offline?

Yes, all the check boxes are checked. So far I have tried both offline writing/going online and sending and online replying or creating a new message.

I am exploring process monitor now to see what happens between the outbox and the sent items, but so far I don't see anything that would cause this.

Just a guess, if it is all mail clients, as you said, I bet it is your ISP.
